Two of the UFC's youngest and best prospects will be taking on the biggest challenges of their careers.

The UFC recently announced that Paige VanZant will be fighting Michelle Waterson in the UFC on FOX 22 main event, while Doo Ho Choi, "The Korean Superboy," will be taking on Cub Swanson at UFC 206.

VanZant is only 22 years old, but has already amassed a professional MMA record of 7-2. She recently returned to the Octagon after participating in Dancing with the Stars, defeating the always tough Bec Rawlings with an impressive head-kick knockout at UFC on FOX 21. VanZant is 4-1 in the UFC, and is considered one of the top prospects in the strawweight division.

Her opponent, Michelle Waterson, is one of the most experienced fighters of the division, with almost twice as many fights as VanZant. The "Karate Hottie" is 13-4 in MMA and is a former Invicta FC atomweight champion. She's also ranked in the top 15 of the strawweight division, and is 7-1 in her past eight fights.

This bout is an important test for VanZant, as Waterson is one of the most skilled and experienced fighters she's ever faced.

Over in the featherweight division, Choi is a fast-rising prospect. The South Korean fighter is 25 years old and on a 13-fight win streak, with his past eight victories coming via TKO/KO. Choi last competed in July at The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale where defeated the veteran Thiago Tavares via first-round knockout. He's 3-0 in the UFC and has won a "Performance of the Night" bonus in his past two bouts.

Meanwhile, Swanson is ranked in the top 5 of the featherweight division, and not too long ago, was in title contention. The 32-year-old fighter is 23-7 as a professional, and is currently riding a two-fight win streak, with victories over Hacran Dias and Tatsuya Kawajiri to his credit. Prior to that, Swanson was on two-fight losing streak, and some were starting to consider the veteran a gatekeeper.

Gatekeeper or not, there is no doubt this will be Choi's toughest test, as Swanson is still considered by many to be one of the elite fighters at 145 pounds.

UFC 206 takes place on December 10 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada, while UFC on FOX 22 takes place on December 17 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif.
