UFC strawweight Paige VanZant made a visit to the set of LIVE with Kelly, using Neil Patrick Harris as a dummy to teach Kelly Ripa some MMA moves

Post by UFC.

VanZant, who's one of the most recognized female MMA athletes today, taught Ripa a basic, two-straight punch combination followed with a push kick that had Harris gasping for air. VanZant also took things to the ground, showing some jiu-jitsu techniques. She performed an ankle lock on Harris from the the 50/50 position.

The 22-year-old VanZant is no stranger to being on television outside of fighting. She participated in season 22 of Dancing with the Stars earlier this year. Her partner was professional dancer, Mark Ballas, and the couple reached the finals of the show, finishing in second place behind model, Nyle DiMarco and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd.

The Team Alpha Male fighter has no current fights scheduled.

VanZant last competed at UFC on FOX 21 in August, where she defeated Bec Rawlings with an impressive, second-round flying-head-kick knockout. She earned a $50,000 bonus for Performance of the Night. With that victory, VanZant is now 7-2 as a professional MMA fighter, and 4-1 in the UFC.
