The mystery is over.

CM Punk is 0-1 as an MMA fighter. Mickey Gall dominated him before submitting him at 2:45 of the first round.

Gall got the takedown early and stayed on top of Punk. He hammered him relentlessly with strikes before tapping him out with a rear-naked choke.

Punk's only upside in the fight was that he managed to avoid several rear naked choke attempts before finally tapping out.

Punk took the fight in stride and made no excuses.

"In life you go big, or you go home," he said.

Despite the loss, Punk said he is not done with MMA.

"I appreciate all of the support from everybody," he said. "I will be back. This is the most fun I have ever had. I know there's a lot of doubters, but life is about falling down and getting back up."

Gall was gracious in victory, saying that haters need to stop, and that more people should love each other.

He then called out Sage Northcutt, saying he wants him in his next fight.
