Fans haven't even had the chance to let the news of the Robbie Lawler vs. Cowboy Cerrone fight sink in before the amazing bout was pulled out from under them.

Just two days ago, UFC President Dana White confirmed that he had signed off on the fight. Now TMZ is reporting that Lawler has pulled out of the match up.

To make matters even more confusing, just an hour ago Cowboy posted a photo of himself and Lawler, all smiles ... but with no caption.

According to, Lawler decided he needed a little more time to get ready for the fight after getting knocked out by Tyron Woodley at UFC 201 in late July.

TMZ reports that Cerrone will be given a new opponent. The former welterweight champion was supposed to fight the new welterweight contender at UFC 205 in November, but if the reports are true, this isn't happening now.

Who do you think Cerrone should face now?
