As New York's first ever UFC event, UFC 205 promises to be huge for MMA. So far, the lineup has been kept under tight wraps, but today, reports of the first two booked fights have surfaced.

Reportedly, match-ups between Robbie Lawler and Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, as well as Thiago Alves and Al Iaquinta are nearly finalized.

According to radio host, Anthony Lima, UFC President Dana White has confirmed that the contracts have been signed for the former welterweight champion to face Cerrone. This has been rumored since Cerrone defeated Rick Story at UFC 202.

In addition to that bout, another has been reported to be confirmed. According to a tweet from TalkMMA, Alves vs. Iaquinta has been scheduled for UFC 205. Alves is coming off a loss to Carlos Condit due to the doctor stopping the fight. Iaquinta is on a four fight win streak.

UFC 205 is set for November 12 at Madison Square Garden, New York.
