Anderson Silva, the man who many consider the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, recently sparred with his son and the footage surfaced on YouTube this week.

Of course, Silva isn't looking to go lights out on his son Kalyl, but the sparring session shows that the kid has some talent.

Silva was the most dominant fighter in MMA, until he was defeated by Chris Weidman in 2013. Silva was clowning around with his hands down, and then got dropped and knocked out in one of the biggest upsets of all time.

Silva returned for a rematch, but broke his leg during the fight. He has yet to regain his old form. Silva hasn't won a fight since 2012, and was recently defeated by Daniel Cormier at UFC 200.

But there may be hope on the horizon for the one-time great, although it may be from the corner or the sidelines.

His son Kalyl, 17, looks like a chip off the old block. Perhaps MMA glory is his destiny as well.
