Action movie fans are definitely in for a treat at this year's Toronto International Film Festival.
The festivities will mark the worldwide premiere of the highly-anticipated Indonesian flick, Headshot. The upcoming thriller is the latest high octane and violence-filled project by Iko Uwais, star of the hit martial arts film franchise, The Raid.
Check out the insane first teaser from Entertainment Weekly below.
According to EW, Uwais plays a character who wakes up in a hospital after suffering head trauma, but can't remember his name or how he got there. A student doctor named Ailin tries to help the man piece his life back together and gives him the nickname "Ishmael," as an homage to the Moby Dick character.
Eventually, Uwais' character gets caught up in his past life, and goes toe-to-toe with a drug lord and a gang boss, who abduct Ailin. Ishmael must take out everyone in his way in order to get his friend back.
If this movie is anything like The Raid, expect a lot of blood and a lot of awesome martial arts action.
Headshot, directed by Timo Tjahjanto and Kimo Stamboel, will debut on September 9 at TIFF's Midnight Madness program.
