After conquering the Octagon, UFC star Tyron Woodley is now looking to make his mark on the world of acting.
The welterweight champion, who previously landed a small part in 2015's Straight Outta Compton, is set to star in the upcoming, Bollywood mixed martial arts movie Sultan. Woodley plays a fighter named Tyron, who ends up facing the protagonist Sultan Ali Khan, a fictional wrestler from the Haryana region of India.
According to IMDb, the film will add a romantic twist to the sports drama genre. Check out a clip of Woodley in Sultan below.
Expect to see a lot of the UFC champ on the big screen in the coming years.
Woodley has a small role in the new Kickboxer: Vengeance flick, which stars Georges St-Pierre, Dave Bautista, Gina Carano, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. He also recently scored a role in Marvel's upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming, opposite Hollywood heavyweights like Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, and Donald Glover.
Although it's cool to see Woodley show off his martial arts skills in movies, fans are probably even more excited over whom his next challenger will be for the 170-pound title. Perhaps a match-up against his Kickboxer co-star GSP? Only time will tell.
