Before I begin I feel I must add this disclaimer. I believe that CM Punk should not be debuting in the UFC. I feel that he needs to work for his spot just like everyone else, and I feel sad for those fighters that have worked so hard for the spot he was given so easily.

Ok, now that we've gotten that out of the way...

Wouldn't it be weird if this whole thing was one big lie, and CM Punk was punking us all? Perhaps he's punking the sport in general?

What if he actually is good at MMA? What if he's been training for years and never told anyone? What if all those training videos were fakes? What if he knocks Mickey Gall out in the first round? God help us all.

It could happen.

I've thought a lot about CM (Okay, not a lot, but some), and I have some theories that might just blow your mind.

He's an "actor," we all know that. So, it wouldn't be totally shocking that he was acting like he doesn't have skills, right? Why are we all so quick to believe someone who made a career out of pretending?

For example, why would someone allow footage to be released of themselves looking that bad? It wasn't even just one video, either. Why would someone freely admit how bad their weight cut was going? I will tell you why... so his opponent underestimates him. That's why.

The most dangerous thing you can do is underestimate your opponent.

How smart is that? Act like a tool and they will never expect you to come out with any talent. Perhaps Mickey is even sitting back relaxing, thinking he has this in the bag.

I'm pretty sure that no matter what kind of fighter we see in the Octagon next weekend, it won't be what we expect. I'm going out on a huge limb here, and predicting he'll win, too. His win would be the greatest upset this sport has ever seen.

Ugh, I can't believe I just wrote that.
