It's been eight months since ONE Lightweight champion, Shinya Aoki has fought MMA.

His last fight wasn't even for ONE FC, but in Rizin against a man 19 years his senior; Kazushi Sakuaba. It looks like the wait is finally over, as ONE just announced Aoki will return at ONE: Defending Honor, before the end of this year in Kallang, Singapore.

In what is sure to be a huge show contained within Singapore Indoor Stadium, Aoki will fight Eduard Folayang in defense of his Lightweight title. Aoki is cruising with a nine-fight win streak. Tthe last time he defended his belt was May 22, 2015 at ONE Championship 28, against Koji Ando. Coincidentally, this was also in Kallang.

Aoki was called out by Daron Cruickshank during the last Rizin event, but Aoki threw a water bottle at him, then trashed Rizin on the microphone. So, no surprise his next fight is back at ONE.

ONE: Defending Honor takes places on November, 11th 2016.

Until then, check out this highlight of Aoki's career in ONE Championship so far.
