Alison Brie is stepping into the ring.

According to Deadline, the former Community star will be the lead in a new wrestling comedy show for Netflix titled, G.L.O.W. The 10-episode series will be executive produced by Jenji Kohan, who fans may know as the creator of Weeds and Orange Is the New Black.

Deadline reports that the upcoming show will follow an all-female wrestling league in Los Angeles during the 80's. Brie will star as an out-of-work actress named Ruth, who hopes to finally make it big by wearing outlandish outfits and serving up suplexes for a weekly series based on female wrestlers.

While the character is fictitious, the series is based on a real life wrestling league called Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling, or G.L.O.W. for short, that briefly made a splash in the '80s.

The upcoming Netflix series, which is being created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, is also set to star comedian Marc Maron and actress Betty Gilpin.

Although Brie might not have much experience in the world of handing out body slams, the former Community star definitely knows how to put on a show to get people's attention.

All Brie needs now is an awesome wrestling name.
