Will Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson wrestle Vin Diesel at next year's Wrestlemania?
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!
That's because it looks like it just might happen, regardless of what you think. The two actors star in Fast 8, which will debut next year, but before that, they may treat us with a great promotional build-up on the WWE stage.
It seems that the two muscled-up actors have a rivalry brewing, and like everything in professional wrestling, how much is real and how much is fake, is a mystery.
The Rock recently said this on Instagram.
This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right. Bottom line is it'll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that's embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part. Final week on FAST 8 and I'll finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses
The WWE sometimes invites celebrities to appear at Wrestlemania, the biggest show of the year. The Rock is a former multi-time WWE champion, who comes from a lineage of professional wrestlers. His grandfather and father were professional wrestlers.
Johnson also recently emerged as the highest-paid actor in Hollywood.
Life & Style Magazine recently reported, quoting an anonymous source, that the the feud between the two men might be a bit contrived.
“They are playing a huge prank, and it’s all for publicity,” the insider told Life & Style.
We'll find out soon enough. Wrestlemania takes place in April, 2017.
