Move over Robert Downey Jr., there's a new leading man atop Forbes' list of the world's highest-paid actors.
The magazine released its 2016 rankings this week, and coming in at the No. 1 is none other than Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. While he didn't quite make the $80 million haul that Iron Man raked in 2015, the WWE champion-turned-action movie star was able to double his income from last year and took the top spot with a cool $64.5 million.
The Rock should probably be thanking his agent for the huge payday, as he received pretty large, upfront fees for flicks like Central Intelligence, Fast 8, and the upcoming Baywatch movie, according to Forbes.
Johnson was able to edge out second-place finisher Jackie Chan, who earned $61 million this year due to his plethora of releases in China. Matt Damon, who took home $55 million, mostly for his involvement with The Martian, came in at No. 3.
Usual box office powerhouses Tom Cruise and Johnny Depp rounded out the top 5 list, earning $53 million and $48 million respectively.
Forbes rankings for this year took a look at each actors' haul between June 1, 2015 and June 1, 2016, prior to management fees and taxes being taken out. The magazine reports that the list of the top 20 highest-paid actors pulled an astronomical $703.5 million combined.
