Nick Diaz, the older brother of Nate Diaz, who fought Conor McGregor at UFC 202, was involved in a scuffle at a Las Vegas nightclub.

Diaz, the former Strikeforce welterweight champion, was clubbing at Hyde when he accidentally bumped into another guy while going to the bathroom around 2:30 a.m. The customer then started talking "smack" to Diaz, according to TMZ.

Diaz, apparently then tried to diffuse the situation, saying that he didn't want any trouble, but it didn't work. As many as three guys backed up the first guy and allegedly jumped Diaz.

Diaz told TMZ: "I didn't start it. They didn't know who I was."

The original Stockton bad buy told TMZ that he tried to defend himself, but got hit hard in the head. The fight escalated, starting in the men's room and ending on the Bellagio's casino floor.

Hyde representatives, according to TMZ, said the attackers were swinging chairs and brawling with club and casino staffers. Security eventually escorted the troublemakers out.

Diaz, according to TMZ, told the Bellagio he didn't want to press charges.

"They got the worst of it," he told TMZ.

Diaz is coming off a suspension for testing positive for marijuana and is looking for a big money fight to return to the UFC. His brother, Nate, lost a close decision to McGregor on Saturday night. Nate Diaz and McGregor will likely fight again to settle their rivalry. The score is 1-1. Diaz defeated McGregor by tap out in March.
