UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping and fellow UFC fighter Cub Swanson are joining together to open a gym.
Swanson announced the venture on his official Twitter page last week.
The pair will be opening a franchise of the UFC Gym brand in Costa Mesa, CA and have already started the open enrollment process.
According to ufcgymfranchise.com, in order to qualify to open a UFC Gym franchise, the base requirements are $350,000 minimum combined liquid assets of all partners, $1 million minimum combined net worth of all and a passion for changing lives through fitness. I think they qualify.
There is no word on what capacity each will hold in the business, but it's unlikely that either will be heavily involved on site currently, as both are still active fighters.
In fact, Bisping is in fight camp now for potentially his biggest fight ever. He is set to defend his new title for the first time against longtime foe, Dan Henderson. The fight is to take place near Bisping's hometown (Clitheroe) in Manchester, England.
Swanson on the other hand, just defeated Tatsuya Kawajiri at Fight Night Salt Lake City this month. No word on a future bout as of yet.
