Conor McGregor may be even happier than expected after his win over Nate Diaz at UFC 202. The UFC Featherweight Champion is estimated to have earned $15 million from his five-round fight this past weekend, as first reported by bigbrandboys.com and Yahoo Sports.

It was reported earlier in the week that McGregor was expecting to earn more money than he did for UFC 196, the first time he fought Diaz. McGregor had a $1 million purse for UFC 196 and earned an estimated $10 million overall. McGregor already had a leg up at UFC 202 with a $3 million purse on Saturday, a record for the UFC (edging out Brock Lesnar's big payday by $500,000).

Diaz has nothing to be sad about either. Though his purse was smaller at $2 million, he also will earn money off the PPV buys and is estimated to have earned $13 million overall at UFC 202. It's clear to see why Diaz wants to wait for the trilogy matchup to fight again.
