Nate Diaz was spotted smoking from a vape just minutes after losing his rematch to Conor McGregor at UFC 202.

Nate is the younger brother of Nick Diaz, who just served an 18 month suspension for testing positive for marijuana.

Diaz was speaking with the media following the fight and admitted he was smoking a CBD Vape Pen, which according to Wikipedia is one of at least 113 active cannabinoids identified in cannabis.

Marijuana is a banned substance in the UFC, but only in competition.

According to WADA (World Anti-Doping Association) in competition means:

"Unless provided otherwise in the rules of an International Federation or the ruling body of the Event in question, “In-Competition” means the period commencing twelve hours before a Competition in which the Athlete is scheduled to participate through the end of such Competition and the Sample collection process related to such Competition."

So assuming he didn't smoke before, Diaz should be fine. We'll need to wait and see how it all plays out though.

Nate Diaz lost to Conor McGregor via majority decision at UFC 202. Diaz has commented that he wants his next fight to be yet another rematch against McGregor.
