The UFC 202 press conference featuring Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor erupted into an all-out melee earlier today, with Diaz storming out of the press conference, flipping a double middle finger, and McGregor throwing water bottles across the media floor.

If the two were trying to hype the fight, it worked. It's clear: These two don't like each other. But before the presser deteriorated into a cartoon, Diaz did have a moment to actually discuss the bout, and try to explain why McGregor talks so much trash.

"He got a lot of people around him and he's trying to pump himself up," Diaz said. "He's either lying to himself or to the world about his confidence or trying to make himself believe it. He remembers what happened to him in the last fight."

Diaz submitted McGregor by rear naked choke at UFC 196 in March. The fight humbled McGregor for a while, but now he seems to be back to his old self, insulting anyone who comes near him.

"I think it's a little silly man," Diaz said. "He got pictures of me up in his garage with him punching me in the face. What the f--k?

"Who does that? Trying to make yourself believe something. I just think he's trying to hype his own self up, but when he goes to sleep at night he knows what happened last time."

The two will headline UFC 202 this Saturday.
