You win some, you lose some.

Or in Dirk Van Tichelt case, you win an Olympic bronze medal, you lose a cell phone. And then you get arrested.

Van Tichelt was robbed earlier this week after winning a bronze medal in judo in the Olympic Games. The Belgian athlete, pictured on the far right above, was robbed while on the Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, according to MMA Mania.

He apparently chased after the suspect, a woman, and tracked her down at a nearby hotel, where he allegedly brawled with a hotel receptionist trained in Jiu-Jitsu, who gave him a black eye, according to The Independent.

Authorities confirmed, "the athlete attempted to throw a punch at the employee and the employee retaliated," according to The Independent.

The athlete was then arrested.

The Daily Mail added that, "the woman tried to get into the hotel but the doors were locked. The athlete didn't catch the woman but wrongly thought that she had entered our hotel. But our doors were already locked so she couldn't have come in. Even so, he broke the lock on the door and burst in making a lot of noise and making a lot of accusations."

Tough world out there, but at least he still has his medal.
