Demetrious Johnson, arguably the No. 1 mixed martial artist on the planet, will return in December, after missing a fight over an injury.

Johnson, the UFC flyweight champion, will fight the winner of The Ultimate Fighter Season 24, according to MMA Fighting.

Johnson pulled out of a fight at UFC 201 against Wilson Reis over an injury that was undisclosed. But he will apparently be ready by December to fight the winner of the show. The Ultimate Fighter season 24 will kick off Aug. 31 on Fox Sports 1.

Johnson has won 10 fights in a row. His last loss was against UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz.

Called "Mighty Mouse," Johnson is looking to breaking Jon Jones's record of 10 UFC title defenses. Johnson has eight and will tie Georges St-Pierre with one more title defense.

Johnson is coming off a stunning 1st round TKO over Henry Cejudo, a former Olympic gold medalist in wrestling.
