It seems to be a reoccurring trend that when a preliminary card offers exceptional fights, the main card does not deliver.

Sadly that was the case with UFC Salt Lake City.

The prelims outdid the main card in most ways, with the exception of the main event, which promised a spinning, jumping, exciting bout... and it delivered. It was five glorious rounds of that before Yair Rodriguez nabbed the split decision victory over fan favorite Alex Caceras.

All but one of the main card bouts went to decision.
