MMA might not be a recognized Olympic sport (yet), but an MMA fighter was asked to carry the Olympic torch in Brazil.

Rodrigo Nogueira, a retired Brazilian former Interim UFC heavyweight champion, was among the athletes who brought the torch through Rio de Janeiro, Brazil during the lighting ceremony.

Nogueira, who is misidentified as his twin brother Rogério Nogueira in the official Olympics tweet, is a member of the UFC Hall of Fame.
