Here's a question that will definitely cause a heated debate between fans of The Walking Dead: who wins in a fight between Negan and the Governor?
Unfortunately, we'll never get to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan's bat-wielding pyscho go head-to-head with David Morrissey's one-eyed villain, but a hypothetical match-up between the two big baddies still sounds pretty intriguing. Both men do have a penchant for causing head injuries, after all.
While fans prepare themselves to see which Walking Dead favorite will meet their demise at the end of Negan's barbed wire-covered baseball bat Lucille next season, Entertainment Weekly caught up with Morgan to get his thoughts on a dream (more like nightmare) fight between the two big baddies.
As expected, the actor was pretty confident in Negan's chances.
"It’s not even close,” Morgan told EW. “I mean, I love David Morrissey, but he wouldn’t stand a chance."
Morgan went on to say that he'd "put Negan up against anybody" and that the villain has a bit of an edge over the Governor.
Although the actor has nothing but love for Morrissey, he believes Negan's intelligence and lack of fear would be more than enough to take out the former leader of Woodbury, whom Morgan calls "a little bit of a wack."
Negan calling the Governor a "wack" is a bit rich, but you can't really disagree with him after all the trouble he's caused for Rick and his crew.
"Negan’s got it together. It wouldn’t even be close," Morgan said. "I really love David. He’s awesome. I worked with him for a year and there’s just not a better guy. But Negan versus the Governor wouldn’t be close.”
