Karolina Kowalkiewicz is next in line for a UFC women's straw weight championship after defeating Rose Namajunas Saturday night at UFC 201.

Kowalkiewicz bounced back after losing the first round to defeat Namajunas on the ground and in the stand-up the rest of the fight. Kowalkiewicz won the fight by split decision.

Namajunas showed good boxing against Kowalkiewicz, but there wasn't enough of it. After the first round, Kowalkiewicz adjusted. She landed 44 significant strikes in the fight.

"She is very tough fighter a very good fighter, but I was prepared for this," Kowalkiewicz told FOX Sports 1.

She is now in line for a title shot against champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

"She always talks that I am not on her level and I hope now I show everybody I can fight with her," Kowalkiewicz said. " I am ready. I hope she is ready for me."
