Tyron Woodley defeated Robbie Lawler at UFC 201 in Atlanta, Georgia to become the new Welterweight champion.

Woodley knocked out the former champion at 2:12 in the first round to become only the second person to knockout Lawler.

"I was nervous that I wasn’t nervous," Woodley said in his post fight octagon interview. "I was very relaxed."

Woodley caught Lawler with a quick right jab to chin sending Lawler straight back like a tree and that's all she wrote. The ref stopped the fight shortly after.

The fights featured a night of upsets when Karolina Kowalkiewicz defeated crowd favorite Rose Namajunas via split decision to likely become the next athlete to fight for the strawweight title.
