Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos has shared new photos from his 7-hour surgery and they are pretty intense.
The Bellator fighter shared the photos with MMAFighting.com along with an update on his prognosis.
"I had surgery yesterday, and thank God everything went fine," Santos said. "It lasted seven hours, and the hospital will give Bellator a full report later today. God guided the doctors in this surgery so everything went well."
The photos show a nasty scar across the top of his head, plus images of quite a bit of hardware holding his fractured skull together.
Santos left the Houston area hospital on Thursday and is already itching for a return to the cage.
He was injured during Bellator 158 when his opponent landed a slick flying knee to his temple, ending the fight and fracturing his skull.
