There are a lot of things that run in the family. Perhaps PED use is something to add to that list.
Arthur Jones, brother of Jon Jones and defensive lineman of the Indianapolis Colts, is set to miss the first four games of the 2016 NFL season after allegedly testing positive for PEDs, multiple outlets report.
Art Jones, who missed all of last season due to injury, will not be eligible to return until Week 5 when the Colts host the Bears. A. Jones has only played nine games for the organization since he signed with the Colts in 2014.
This suspension comes on the heels of Jon Jones getting pulled from the UFC 200 card earlier this month after failing an out-of-competition test administered by USADA. It was later revealed that Jones had tested positive for clomiphene, an estrogen blocker that is often used along with PEDs. Jones faces a possible two-year suspension for the violation.
Though the two cases are not related and J. Jones has never tested positive for PEDs, it does beg the question of what the Jones family is willing to do to compete. It would not be surprising if the NFL surprises Chandler Jones, defensive end for the Arizona Cardinals and brother of Jon and Art, with a drug test sometime soon.
