Valentina Shevchenko will be headlining her first UFC card this weekend, but she's far from an untested up-and-comer. While she may have only had two UFC fights so far, she's previously won 17 world Muay Thai titles, amassing a 56-2 record overall in kickboxing.

She'll soon be facing one of her stiffest challenges yet though, when she faces former bantamweight champ Holly Holm with a potential top-5 ranking on the line. Both Shevchenko and Holm are coming off of high profile losses: Shevchenko against Amanda Nunes, and Holm against Miesha Tate. A win for either of them is vital to get back into title contention, so we can definitely expect to see some fireworks when the meet in the Octagon.

To prepare for the fight, Shevchenko has been training in Phuket, Thailand training at Tiger Muay Thai and MMA. You can take a look at her training in this short documentary released earlier this week:
