The UFC announced it's main and co-main events for it's UFC Fight Night Hidalgo card.
For the main event we will see Dustin Poirier vs. Michael Johnson and the co-main will be Uriah Hall vs. Derek Brunson.
Poirier is on a three fight win streak since moving to 155 pounds, three of those being finishes. His most recent win came by first-round knockout of Bobby Green at UFC 199. Johnson is making a return to the cage after losing to Nate Diaz back in December.
Hall was set to face Anderson Silva at UFC 199 but Silva was forced to withdraw due to gallbladder surgery. Before that he lost to Robert Whittaker at UFC 193. Brunson is on a four-fight winning streak, he was meant to fight Gegard Mousasi at UFC 200 but had to pull out due to injury.
This will be the first UFC event in Hidalgo, Texas.
