Jon Jones has been temporarily suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission pending investigation into his potential doping violation.
Jones was flagged for a potential USADA violation earlier this month after reportedly testing positive for two banned substances. As a result he was removed from his main event bout at UFC 200 against Daniel Cormier.
The decision to suspend the former light heavyweight champ was made today during a NSAC meeting via a unanimous vote.
According to reports Jones has hired Howard Jacobs, a well known anti-doping lawyer to represent him.
The substances Jones was flagged for were also revealed today as Hydroxy-Clomiphene and Letrozole Metabolite.
This suspension is temporary, pending further investigation.
Jones maintains his innocence.
