Albert Morales had no idea he would start the day as an unsigned fighter, and end it with a UFC contract.

Morales, who was fighting for RFA 38, finished his opponent, Mario Israel, with a knockout punch in just 20 seconds. Dana White just happened to be watching.

White was filming the latest episode of Dana White: Lookin' for a Fight and found himself in Costa Mesa, CA. He was there to scout the main event but was so impressed with Morales that he signed him on the spot.

When Morales heard the news he grabbed the UFC President around the shoulders and picked him up off his feet in a huge bear hug.

"I'm a hugger, I hug everyone," he said to Champions.co after the event. "There's no real way to describe that feeling."

He says that he was watching the fights when he got the call to come backstage and thought he had just forgotten his check.

"I've done that before," he laughed. "So when I went back there and they said Dana wanted to talk to me I thought something big might be happening, and then he told me he saw the fight and wanted to sign me."

That's when he hoisted White up in celebration.

"He wasn't heavy," Morales laughed.

He's says that he's reached a goal, which was to get signed by the UFC, now he wants to aim for the belt next.

"I realize that if you work hard good things will happen to you," he said. "If you put your mind to something, you can make it happen."
