Ever wonder where your favorite UFC stars train? Here's a list of my favorite gyms (in no particular order). I searched for gyms that had the most name recognition, the most UFC champions and the most contenders plus the best coaches on the scene today.

Enjoy!

American Top Team

American Top Team is deep in the terms of contenders, which may be due to the amount of gyms it has throughout the US. The "best" is located in Coconut Creek, FL and was called one of the top four MMA gyms by UFC President Dana White. Check out this virtual tour of the facility, it's pretty slick. Their roster is intense.

UFC Champions: Robbie Lawler, Amanda Nunes

Kings MMA

Kings MMA located in Orange County, CA is home base to many Brazilian fighters. With Master Rafael Cordeiro at the helm it's one of the most highly regarded MMA training camp. Cordeiro has a Muay Thai black belt and a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt. Some of the noteable athletes to make their way through kings have been Fabricio Werdum, Rafael dos Anjos, Lyoto Machida, Beneil Dariush, Wanderlei Silva, Nolan Ticman, Jake Ellenberger and Cris Cyborg.

UFC Champions: There are no current UFC champions, but they host one of the largest former champion rosters.

Jackson-Wink

Jackson-Wink might be the most well known camps which numerous all star fighters call home. Located in Albequerque, NM and home base for the likes of Jon Jones, Holly Holm, Carlos Condit, Donald Cerrone, Rustam Khabilov, Clay Guida, Cub Swanson, Erik Perez, John Dodson and Sarah Kaufman. Check out this slideshow of the gym.

UFC Champions: Unfortunately two of it's champions just lost their titles, but with a roster full of top contenders I don't see them being without a champion for long.

Alliance MMA

Alliance nestled in beautiful San Diego county has a hometown gym feel. It's owned by Brandon Vera and Eric Del Fierro plays host to many Bellator contenders as well a UFC champion. Cat Zingano even moved her training over to Alliance before her UFC 200 bout.

UFC Champions: Dominick Cruz

Blackzilians

Blackzilians was born after Rashad Evans’ self-imposed exile from Jackson-Wink MMA in 2011, and has proved itself ever since. Their roster includes Vitor Belfort, Anthony Johnson and Alistair Overeem. Current lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez used to train there too!

UFC Champions: No current UFC champions.

Team Alpha Male

Team Alpha Male has had some controversy this year when TJ Dillashaw left for Elevation Fight Team which send off a firestorm between him and longtime friend Urijah Faber. Luckily they have a plethora of talent still there in the likes of Joseph Benavidez, Cody Garbrandt, Paige VanZant and Chad Mendes.

UFC Champions: There are no UFC champs, but judging by the list above it might not be too long before they do.

American Kickboxing Academy

AKA, Located in San Jose, CA houses some of the best fighters in the world. With a roster consisting of former middleweight champ Luke Rockhold, former heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez and current light heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier, it would be hard to argue with their dominance. They are home to two of the top 15 pound for pound fighters in the UFC.

UFC Champions: Daniel Cormier

Serra-Longo Fight Team

Serra-Longo (owned by Matt Serra and Ray Longo) is another heavy hitting training camp. It's home to former middleweight champion Chris Weidman plus contenders Al Iaquinta and Aljamain Sterling. We're sure to see quite a few of their fighters when the UFC heads to New York for the first time this year.

UFC Champions: None currently, but Weidman is likely set for a title shot soon.
