Gosh darn it, CM Punk. And you too, Ken Shamrock. And curse you too, Bob Sapp and Brock Lesnar. It's like everybody thinks they can just hop inside the cage and the fight like it's a jog in the park.
The next specialty attraction? Herschel Walker.
Now, Walker is no MMA novice. He's 2-0, fighting twice in Strikeforce, finishing both those fights by TKO. But that was five years ago. And now, the former college, USFL and NFL superstar wants to fight again... at the age of 54.
Walker told TMZ this:
"I told people I can fight again. I don't know why people think I can't. I'm a little different. I'm not like everyone else. There's not a doubt in my mind I could fight again and I would love to do it."
Yeah, he's different alright. Walker is a freak athlete, who reportedly does 5,000 pushups and sit-ups a day, but athleticism sometimes falls to the wayside when you get hit in the face by a decent punch. So who does Walker want to fight?
"I want it to be a worthy opponent. I don't want it to be someone they hand pick -- some bum that they found on the street that was fighting 15 years ago. I don't want it to be someone like that. I want it to be someone that will keep the integrity of this sport."
Walker said he would even be open to fights Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.
There's no doubt that if Walker wants to fight, he will fight, most likely in Bellator, where his buddy Scott Coker, former owner of Strikeforce, is now president.
Here's a look at the running back in action.
