Alexander Gustafsson, the two-time title challenger in the light heavyweight division, is finally returning to the Octagon.
Gustafsson will return after almost a year off at UFC Fight Night in Hamburg, Germany on Sept. 3, the UFC announced early Friday morning.
Gustafsson was last in the cage when he faced Daniel Cormier for his second title attempt. The pair went five excruciatingly bloody rounds with Cormier winning by split decision.
Gustafsson will face Jan Blachowicz in hopes of climbing back up the ranks towards perhaps his third title defense. Hungry for a win, Gustafsson has gone 1-3 in his last four fights.
