I guess we are still talking about this. Sigh.

Conor McGregor's head coach John Kavanagh spoke with Jonathan Shrager of MMA Underground this week to promote his new book, "Win Or Learn," but (of course) the conversation led to the now infamous potential bout with Floyd Mayweather.

"I think that contest will happen eventually but it's on hold for now. I'd be very surprised if it doesn't [happen] at some stage," he said.

I mean, really? Can we just get McGregor back to defending his belt already? Enough with the delays!

I thought maybe this Mayweather talk was just offered up as a distraction while McGregor was "retired" but now that he has a fight on the books, I thought these rumors might have died.

Guess not.

McGregor is set to face Nate Diaz again at UFC 202 for a rematch that seems to be taking forever to come to fruition, thus detouring the champ from defending his belt in the 145-pound division.
