Fedor Emelianenko, one of the most devastating MMA heavyweight's of all time, is finally coming to the UFC... kind of. Well, he's coming to UFC Fight Pass.

The longtime veteran will take on Fabio Maldonado at EFN: Saint Petersburg scheduled for June 17 in Russia.

Having unsuccessfully tried to tempt "The Last Emporer" to the UFC roster for years, the juggernaut MMA promotion will finally see the Russian debut on their digital network, with the added bonus of not even having to pay him for the courtesy.

Back in December, Emelianenko returned from a three-year retirement to take on Jaideep Singh in Japan. The bout was finished inside the first round, as Emelianenko got his return to winning ways via TKO on New Year's Eve.

Following this, MMA promotions including the UFC all battled for the legendary fighter's signature, with the Russian ultimately choosing a one-fight deal with Rizin Fighting Federation.

The news was broke during the UFC 199 broadcast on Saturday night, but with the shock announcement of Brock Lesnar and the Diaz/McGregor 2 fight, the news slipped relatively under the radar for many.
