Ronda Rousey is without a doubt one of the best athletes the sports world has ever seen. She's great. Really, she is.
But this video keeps me wondering what's going on with her striking game.
In the video, Ronda is working with her longtime coach Edmund Tarverdyan. The former UFC women's bantamweight champ is working on her striking and, well ... you watch.
For starters, why is turning her head when she punches? The proper way to throw a punch keeping your head up and your chin down, and she's doing neither of those things. Also, why is she hopping from foot to foot? By doing that she compromises her power and reduces the impact of her punches.
We want to see Ronda do well. And we especially want to see her do better in a rematch with Holly Holm (if that sort of thing ever happens). If things keep going the way they are, well ... we're just not sure things will get any better. Here's hoping.
