One of the first rules of fighting is to keep going until the ref stops you or your opponent taps. These eight fighters didn't want to wait for the stoppage to celebrate their spectacular knockouts, and really who could blame them?

Mark Hunt vs Frank Mir - UFC Fight Night 85

KO's are nothing new to Mark Hunt, as he has nine KOs/TKOs on his record, but this knockout stands out as one of my favorites. Here he faced Frank Mir (who was later popped for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs) in what would become his most recent KO victory. Hunt drops Mir just two minutes into Round 1, and looks slightly upset that the fight ended so quickly.

Jalin Turner vs Eric Steans - WSOF 28/BAMMA USA

Jalin Turner made a stunning pro debut at World Series of Fighting's undercard, which was matched by BAMMA USA. The young, lanky fighter shocked most not only by knocking out his opponent, but by celebrating well before famed referee Mike Beltran stepped in to call the fight. Turner lands a quick left hook that drops Steans and then quickly throws up his arms in celebration.

Rich Franklin vs Nate Quarry - UFC 56

Only halfway through Round 1 and Quarry was already covered in the blood pouring out of his face. Franklin lands a perfect left that dropped Quarry out cold. This would be the seventh win in a row for Franklin who would go on to win another fight before losing to Anderson Silva at UFC 64.

Hisaki Kato vs Joe Schilling - Bellator 139

This one isn't QUITE a walk off, but I had to include it. I'm a hardcore Schilling fan and this one was hard for me to watch, but I can't take away the awesomeness of this KO just because I wanted my guy to win. Take a look as Kato lands a stepping left hand and Schilling goes down like a ton of bricks.

But check out what happened to Kato in his very next fight ...

Melvin Manhoef vs Hisaki Kato - Bellator 146

In almost identical fashion, Manhoef plants a left on Kato, dropping him and ending the fight. I guess you could call that karma if you believe in that sort of thing.

Edson Barboza vs Terry Etim - UFC 142

Barboza was on a 10-fight win streak when he faced Etim back in 2012, but he shocked everyone when he landed a spinning back kick right to the face of his opponent. Etim landed on his back, stiff as a board, while Barboza runs off to celebrate his milestone victory.

Jonathan Tuhu vs Zhang Guangxi

So this isn't technically an MMA fight but I don't follow the rules, so lucky you! This incredible knockout sees Tuhu doing a flying spinning back kick to Guangxi who is standing in the corner of the ring. Tuhu lands on his back, while his opponent stands propped up in the corner, completely knocked out. You really have to see it to believe it.

Mike Garrett vs Sam Heron - UCMMA

It took me longer to Google this guys name than it took for the entire fight. This bout lasted only 1.1 seconds after Garrett lands a huge kick right to Heron's face.
