Holy fight card, Batman!

It looks like Eddie Bravo's EBI may have some serious competition come July. Former MMA fighter Chael Sonnen has announced Submission Underground, a new kind of jiu-jitsu tournament.

The event is set to take place on July 17 in Portland, Oregon and they already announced a few of the match-ups.

Full Main Card to Date:

Jake Shields vs. Benson Henderson

King Mo Lawal vs. Vinny Magalhaes

Kenny Florian vs. Filipe Braga Costa

Ricco Rodriguez vs. Fabiano Scherner

Jens Pulver vs. Nathan Orchard

I mean, that's already one hell of a line up!

According to a press release send out by co-sponsor FloSports, the event will be submission-only grappling, much like Bravo's EBI. And Sonnen says he will modify Eddie Bravo Invitational rules, which he considers to be the best grappling rule set on the planet.

Some of the enhancements are the use of a cage instead of the traditional open mats, which according to the press release is to ensure the safety of the competitors. The tournament will also feature Bruce Buffer on announcing duties, with T.J. De Santis and Sonnen handling commentary.
