Bellator fighter Michael Chandler says he was the last person to train with fellow fighter Jordan Parsons before his death.
It was just any normal day of training, Chandler told the Palm Beach Post. The pair often sparred multiple times a day and that day was no different. Little did he know that would be the last time he would see Parsons alive.
Chandler also gave a touching tribute on Instagram.
So many hours spent, so many smiles and so much sweat spilled next to this amazing human being. It has been an honor to call you friend and an honor to pursue this dream alongside you @prettyboymma_jp . Rest in peace my friend...stay in shape because I'm looking forward to us being workout partners again in heaven. I love you man.
Parson's was struck by a hit-and-run driver that evening and passed away three days later.
Chandler says that there were so many people crowding the hospital that people were turned away.
Delary Beach Police arrested Dennis Wright after a six-day investigation. An anonymous tip led police to Wright, who now faces multiple charges, including leaving the scene of a crash causing death.
