Alistair Overeem is making his climb up the UFC's heavyweight division rankings with thunderous results, and his main event in Rotterdam against Andrei Arlovski was no different.

"The Reem" landed a well-placed crane kick – hence the "Karate Kid" reference – that dropped Arlovski in the second round en route to the finish of their Netherlands headliner.

Watch a replay of the finish below.

After the bout, Overeem told the crowd that he will fight the winner of next Saturday's UFC 198 card between heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum and title challenger Stipe Miocic. He even called out the approximate date and venue, November at New York's Madison Square Garden.

The co-main event didn't disappoint, either, as Stefan Struve picked up his first knockout win since 2012 with a finish of Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva.

The two heavyweights locked in the clinch early in the bout, but it was the Dutchman, Struve, who found the openings to put Silva down in front of the home crowd. The entire bout lasted only 16 seconds.

Earlier main card results are as follows:

  • Gunnar Nelson def. Albert Tumenov via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:15 of Round 2.
  • Germaine de Randamie def. Anna Elmose via TKO (knees) at 3:46 of Round 1.
  • Nikita Krylov def. Francimar Barroso via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:11 of Round 2.
  • Karolina Kowalkiewicz def. Heather Jo Clark via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27).
