Police say they have a lead in the hit-and-run incident that left Bellator fighter Jordan Parsons with an amputated leg.
The Delray Beach Police Department is looking for a 2012 or 2013 Range Rover Sport, similar to the one in the image below. Pieces of the the vehicle’s driver’s side mirror were left at the scene, according to the police department's Facebook page, which allowed investigators to determine the type of vehicle involved.
Parsons was struck by a vehicle over the weekend and left in the street. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene and, after being attended to by medical personnel, Parsons was taken to a local hospital where doctors were forced to amputate the fighter’s leg. He is now in a coma, according to an Instagram post by his teammate, Rashad Evans.
Before the incident, Parsons was scheduled to fight Adam Piccolotti at Bellator 154 on May 14. A GoFundMe page has been set up so that Parson’s medical expenses can be paid, and you can visit the page by clicking here.
