The UFC has released Diego Brandao from its roster, following the fighter's recent brush with the law.

Brandao (20-11) was arrested in Albuquerque, NM on April 15. He was charged with four felonies, including aggravated battery, after pistol-whipping and striking multiple people at a strip club. Brandao reportedly did so after being kicked out.

The former TUF winner is also in hot water with the Nevada Athletic Commission after he tested positive for marijuana. Brandao was most recently defeated at UFC 195 by Brian Ortega, via triangle choke in the third round.

During his 6-4 UFC run, Brandao also fought the likes of Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Darren Elkins.
