It's about time! The UFC will officially inaugurate a women's flyweight (125 lbs) division at UFC Fight Night 89 in June.

Competing at the historic event will be current strawweight fighters Valerie Letourneau and Joanne Calderwood. Both women are ranked in the UFC's Top-15 for their current weight class.

Calderwood was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter's 20th season, and has since gone on to a 2-1 record in the UFC. Her most recent match-up was a decision win over Cortney Casey last summer.

Letourneau meanwhile is coming off a title fight defeat at the hands of Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Before that, she had won her last three in a row in the UFC. She will become the first woman to compete in all three female weight classes in the organization.

UFC Fight Night 89 will also be the first show for the promotion in Ottawa, Canada (a lot of 'firsts' that night!). It will take place on June 18.
