It's not often you see a toehold submission in professional MMA, much less from someone known as a knockout specialist.
That's exactly what went down last night at Bellator 153 though, with the undefeated Michael "Venom" Page (10-0) proving that he can mix it up on his feet and on the ground.
Page opened the fight with a lightning fast right hand that immediately dropped his opponent, Jeremie Holloway.
From his back, Holloway attempted some upkicks, which proved to be a big mistake. Page somehow managed to wrap Holloway's foot, applying a footlock so quickly that referee John McCarthy didn't even seem realize what was happening. Holloway sure did though, and was tapping like crazy.
The unorthodox submission advances Page's record to 10-0, with three first round victories in a row.
