Until yesterday's bombshell announcement, Conor McGregor was the UFC Featherweight Champion. Now, we're not so sure.

At UFC 200, McGregor was supposed to have a welterweight rematch with Nate Diaz, while top featherweight contenders Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar battled for an interim title. According to Dana White, McGregor's next stop after that was a unification bout at featherweight.

Now however, McGregor may or may not be retired, and Dana White does not seem happy.

"Conor needs to clean this up fast or Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar are fighting for the vacant featherweight title," he said on a recent appearance on FS1.

If McGregor is taking a considerable amount of time off, this makes sense. There is no point in Aldo and Edgar fighting for an interim title, if the current champ isn't planning on defending his belt.

For now though, we'll have to wait and see. The official word is that Conor McGregor will no longer be fighting on the UFC 200 card. Beyond that, who knows?
