UFC 199 has picked up an extremely exciting Featherweight bout!

UFC Tonight has confirmed that undefeated prospect Brian Ortega (10-0-1, ranked #12 in the division) will face longtime MMA vet Clay Guida (32-16, ranked #14) at the California event.

The 25-year old Ortega has been on a tear through the UFC since his debut in 2014, when he defeated Mike De La Torre in the first round. That victory was eventually overturned though after Ortega tested positive for a banned substance.

However after serving his suspension, Ortega was given a second chance in the UFC. He quickly picked up two huge wins against Thiago Tavares and Diego Brandao last year, landing him a spot on the Featherweight Top 15.

The 34-year old Guida will be returning from a loss against the aforementioned Thiago Tavares at a UFC Fight Night event in November. While he has lost five of his last ten, he does hold the distinction of handing lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos one of his only three losses in the past six years. Additionally, Guida holds a significant experience advantage over Ortega, with over 45 fights on his professional record.

UFC 199 will take place on June 4 at the Forum in Los Angeles. It will be headlined by a middleweight title fight between champ Luke Rockhold and former champ Chris Weidman. The card will also feature a bantamweight title fight featuring Dominick Cruz, who recently reclaimed the belt, and Urijah Faber.
