Bellator 149 was a weird, weird night, and somehow, it's gotten even stranger since then.
From Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock both testing positive for performance enhancing drugs, to Dada and Kimbo almost collapsing mid-fight, to the weird phantom groin shot by Royce Gracie (and the fact that it was Royce Gracie's first knockout of all time), the Bellator 149 storylines were pretty damn unreal.
But now we have even more news about that night to remember (or forget).
Check out the since-deleted Instagram post, which is where Dada explained his side of the story:
To summarize, Dada says he was in top fighting shape, but during the bout, he suffered a kidney failure and not one, but two heart attacks.
Dada 5000 plans to go on a media tour apparently, where he will set the record straight. All I know is, I hope the man is okay. I wouldn't mind seeing what he's capable of with the right physical and mental conditioning.
What do you think?
Are you buying Dada 5000's explanation?
