Two of the UFC's veterans with long tenure could be meeting at UFC 200 in July. Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Lauzon is apparently in the works for the card. It's important to note that while it's being reported by MMAFighting.com, the UFC hasn't yet made any official announcement.
VendettaFighter.com was the first to report the news of the potential bout. Lauzon (25-11) is coming off a loss to Evan Dunham at the TUF 22 Finale in December and Sanchez (26-8) most recently defeated Jim Miller at UFC 196 in a unanimous decision as he returned to the lightweight division.
As you may recall, the two lightweights were originally scheduled to meet at UFC 180, but both fighters suffered injuries which forced the UFC promotion to scrap the fight.
UFC 200 is set for the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 9th. While the promotion has yet to officially announce any of the fights for the monster event, Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 2, Cain Velasquez vs Travis Browne, Johny Hendricks vs Kelvin Gastelum, and Gegard Mousasi vs Derek Brunson are all rumored to be on the card.
What do you think?
Will UFC 200 be as massive of a success as the UFC hopes?
