Everybody in the UFC wants a spot at the upcoming historic UFC 200, which means everyone is scrambling for possible matchup. Rafael dos Anjos has two matcheups in mind, unfortunately, unlike the man he was supposed to fight at UFC 196, Conor McGregor, Dos Anjos doesn't quite have the "I can pick who I fight" power.
It seems, no matter how much he wants to fight Lawler at UFC 200, it's not going to happen for dos Anjos.
In fact, he's not even going to be able to fight his other desired matchup, Nate Diaz... someone he's already beaten.
According to Ali Abdelaziz, dos Anjos' Manager, the UFC has other plans for dos Anjos.
At least that what he told UFC Tonight.
Neither Abdelaziz, nor dos Anjos, have been informed that those plans are.
In case you've been under a rock the past couple of months, dos Anjos was slated to fight McGregor at UFC 196, but had to pull out at the last minute due to a broken foot. Now, his foot is in a soft cast and he's getting closer to getting back into the gym. He just need a little bit more rehab before he's ready to get back to work this Summer.
As for the UFC's plans, who knows... what do YOU think they are?
